Concluding this review I can only say that it's very sad feeling to write it while there is another massive war going on in Europe. This makes it more accessible to mainstream auditory which is good, as topics raised here are very damn important. However, I actually appreciate that this game is not hardcore one. There is mostly few or even one best strategy to finish scenario without losing any characters. It gives you some challenge and there are also some hard scenarios, yes, but if you will more or less understand local economy and resource balance, surviving will become pretty easy for you. But I want also to note here that the gameplay itself is not difficult at all. The game is also pretty depressive, which must not be surprising to anyone. And while this game does not depict any particular conflict, it is still actually based on Siege of Sarajevo. With so many military games out there people sometimes might forget such obvious fact. Because most of us would obviously be not some badass rambos but average civilians locked up in a terrible reality of survival attempt inside of living hell, as this is what war truly is. First of all, it basically shows us what war truly is and gives possibility to most of gamers to roleplay what they would truly experience in the case of war. So, I am not fan of such indie survival games, but this game made a huge impression on me. 
Another one which immediately comes into my mind would be Spec Ops: The Line. I don't know much of the games with so strong anti-war message like this This War of Mine.
